As technologies and markets change rapidly, senior executives need to revisit traditional IT governance. They need to identify and deploy next-generation practices to support the CIO's transition into the business technology (BT) world. In this report, we use survey data and insights from interviews with executives and management consultants to provide ideas and lessons learned for CIOs on how to develop effective BT governance in increasingly dynamic business environments.
