Nature-based solutions (NBS) are a necessary measure to mitigate the worst-case climate change scenarios and adapt to the forces of climate change. NBS often provide environmental, societal, and economic cobenefits. Although most corporate approaches focus on projects that generate carbon offsets through coalitions and collaborations, NBS applications are increasing as businesses realize the positive effects on their sustainability initiatives, community health, and climate risks. This report provides a tool to help sustainability and risk pros explore potential NBS in the context of their business to identify their benefits and proactively prioritize mitigation and remediation efforts.
