Technology and social media have dramatically changed high-tech recruiting. The combination of a hot job market, mobile devices, company websites, job boards, and other factors has deluged employers with applications. Some candidates are qualified; most are not. Unfortunately, gaming the recruitment systems has never been easier, creating massive headaches for CIOs who are hiring. In this report, we use data from TEKsystems, a global IT staffing and services firm, to understand the depth of these problems and recommend ways to resolve them.
