Cloud Computing Road Map For Enterprise Architects

The purpose of this road map is to illustrate the implementation timing of the infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) technologies evaluated in Forrester's "TechRadar™ For Infrastructure & Operations Professionals: Cloud Computing, Q4 2011." Cutting-edge organizations are already using these emerging technologies. However, this road map projects forward to the time when Forrester anticipates these technologies will be ready for general use. For each technology, we show: 1) the window of time when we expect it to have gained widespread adoption, along with a target date for implementation, and 2) the current status of the technology along with key dependencies and suggestions for apps and services that will be first movers once the technology reaches mainstream adoption.
