COLT Telecom (COLT) has so far taken minor steps on its voyage to true Converged Service Delivery (CSD). However, the company might catch up by leveraging its wide-area network (WAN) services and hosting-center-delivered IT managed services. While well positioned in Europe due to its network and data center infrastructure, COLT needs to improve its technology partnerships to provide and win global CSD business against better-positioned telecom and IT service providers. In addition, COLT needs to improve its service-level-agreement (SLA) offer to include a single business SLA that provides meaningful metrics to measure real business impact.
