While they once provided less than satisfying user experiences, cross-platform frameworks can now be as pixel-perfect as native development; consider adopting them to lower development costs and ensure feature parity. Like nearly one-quarter of devs we surveyed, consider using low-code tools, which can shortcut tedious plumbing. JavaScript, which is at the core of many cross-platform solutions, has become a lingua franca for mobile. A surprisingly high percentage of developers in our survey use NativeScript, whereas surprisingly few use Flutter — as we recommend Flutter or React Native over NativeScript.
