Europe Lags Behind Global AppSec Adoption Rates

Security decision-makers at North American enterprises lead in the adoption of many application security (appsec) technologies, peaking at 87% adoption of web application firewalls; those at European enterprises lag behind, falling below the global average for four of the five most widely adopted security technologies. Their Asia Pacific peers also fall below the global average for three technologies. The appsec market is rapidly evolving, as apps pose an increasing breach threat. European security leaders must be more proactive to catch up to their global peers in mitigating this growing threat. This is a snapshot of Forrester’s data on global appsec technology adoption rates.
