European IT/Telecom Converged Service Delivery Outsourcing Deals: H1 2006

In H1 2006, Forrester surveyed IT service providers and telecom service providers in Europe to identify converged service delivery (CSD) deals — telecom service providers offering IT deals or IT vendors delivering telecom services. We identified 60 CSD deals, 60% of which involved IT service providers. Across this set of contracts, IT vendors sold more managed security and managed LAN services than telecom service providers, while telecom service providers led in the number of apps development and support services signings. Most CSD deals tracked involved client firms in the manufacturing and business services industries, from countries like France, the UK, Austria, and Belgium. Buyers showed preferences for agreements that were smaller than €5 million in total contract value (TCV) and with a length of three or five years.
