Summary

We examined the satisfaction rates and online behaviors of B2B Web users from five generations: Gen Yers, Gen Xers, Younger Boomers, Older Boomers, and Seniors. Employees working online are generally satisfied with the quality of information and ease of use that B2B sites offer. However, there are important differences in satisfaction rates between males and females, with women reporting higher satisfaction with the sites they use for work. There are even more significant differences between generations in terms of what business functions they use B2B sites to accomplish. Most surprising: We found that Seniors are far and away more likely to both purchase products and services for business online and manage business accounts online.
