Creating inclusive experiences is good for business, customers, and employees. But most companies take a narrow approach to design, thus missing out on benefits like reaching new markets; reducing legal risk; attracting and retaining talent that wants to work for diverse and inclusive organizations; and proving the company is serious about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). This report presents five best practices for augmenting your experience design (XD) practice for inclusion: Create a diverse and inclusive design team, recognize exclusion, use inclusive language, identify and address bias in your research, and prioritize digital accessibility.
