France's eCommerce market has grown rapidly in the past few years. But many French Net users still don't shop online because they worry about online payment security. Although several alternative payment systems are available in France, few French Net users have heard of any of them apart from PayPal. Online retailers who want to win more customers need to emphasize that online shopping is safe and should consider offering — and promoting — alternative payment systems.
