French Service Firms Go Offshore Through Subsidiaries

Summary

After years of hesitation, French service providers are jumping on the offshore bandwagon by creating their own delivery centers in India, Central and Eastern Europe, and Morocco. However, French service providers remain cautious about acquiring services firms in remote locations, and they do not yet consider long-distance partnerships a viable option. IT services buyers — especially those in French-speaking regions — need to consider the new opportunities offered by these new offshore facilities owned by French providers, and evaluate whether they constitute a real step forward toward access to global delivery models.
