Off-the-shelf and custom AI software spend will double from $33 billion in 2021 to $64 billion in 2025 and will grow 50% faster than the overall software market, with an annual growth rate of 18%. Three categories of AI software will drive growth: AI maker tools, AI-centric software, and AI-infused software. AI-infused software will see the fastest growth as AI adoption in the enterprise becomes more ubiquitous. In 2022, the US and China will capture 71% of AI software spend. Cybersecurity is the fastest AI software growth category, with a focus on the real-time monitoring of and response to attacks.
