Guarantee Business Value From Technology Monitoring

Technology-based services fuel the business. The technology choices that the I&O organization makes are intrinsic to business capability performance and increasingly important to improving IT's reputation regarding service quality and IT productivity. I&O leaders should therefore rethink their approach on how they monitor today's business services and underlying technology. Unfortunately, we find that many approaches to monitoring are tactical, fragmented, and do not focus on holistic service quality. This fragmented approach leads to failed return on investment relative to the monitoring approach. Business technology (BT) requires a strategic and therefore holistic monitoring approach.
