Forrester found that clients rate brokerages higher than insurers for retirement planning. Investors Group takes the top spot, with independent advisors and large banks' investment arms following close behind. Consumers told us that a firm's stability, reliability, and customer advocacy affect their view of that firm's retirement planning qualifications. Managers at insurance and investment firms should follow the lead of the top-tier providers by displaying retirement capabilities through messaging and customer outreach through multiple channels.
