Forrester examined a total of 2,292 end user inquiries from enterprise architecture (EA) professionals in 2008. Many of these inquiries were about specific technology topics such as information and knowledge management, infrastructure and operations, and application development. However, 118 inquires were related directly to the practice of EA. These 118 inquires included questions on a range of topics from best practices and architecture strategies to industry trends and EA tool selection. Questions about organizing architecture teams topped the list of EA-related issues that EA pros asked about in 2008. The leading subtopics were overall EA organization and best practices regarding the specific roles within the architecture practice.
