In our research for the recent Forrester Wave™ evaluation of Microsoft Business Applications Services (MBAS) providers, we interviewed CIOs, application leaders, and business execs at enterprises and government organizations to understand how they are adopting Microsoft Copilot in practice. Copilot adoption has moved beyond experimentation to more disciplined execution. As enterprises pursue Copilot, they’re intentionally limiting scope until ownership, cost exposure, workflow fit, and measurable value are clear. This report details what these organizations have learned about advancing Copilot with organizational readiness, data quality, and the ability to embed it into real workflows at scale.
