Functional Test Automation Has Improved, But Not Enough To Meet Customer Demands

Modern application development (MAD) service providers help organizations build modern products and enable development teams to become agile, adopt DevOps, and implement continuous testing and delivery to ensure quality. In Forrester’s Q3 2022 MAD Service Forrester Wave™ Customer Reference Survey, 70% of respondents reported their vendor helped their organization or teams improve functional test automation by 50% or less, and only 14% reported improvement above 81%. This suggests vendors have room to improve in helping their clients increase test automation as they evolve to become MAD providers.
