This year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) once again broke attendance records — expanding well beyond its telecom origins and evolving into a consumer- and business-oriented digital transformation show. New devices filled the show floor. Unfortunately, there was little demonstration of a data economy based on connected devices fueling new insights, actions, and outcomes. The exception? Smart city solutions, such as entrants in the new award category, Mobile Innovation for Smart Cities. This report shows CI pros how they derived value by sharing data.
