Insurance companies in Europe — like Zurich Insurance in the UK or Germany's Allianz — face a challenge: They want more people to use the Web for sales and service interactions, but few customers are interested in doing so. On average, only a third of European Net users who own insurance say they will use the Web for interactions like filing a claim, changing their address, or making a query the next time they need to. Improved adoption appears to be a waiting game as experience with the Net drives further uptake.
