Forrester’s Asia Pacific Financial Services Survey, 2022 asked online adults in Malaysia about a variety of green finance products and found that they are most interested in green insurance and green deposit accounts. Among Gen Z, green insurance attracted the most interest. While green finance in Malaysia is still nascent, the government is increasing support for green finance products; its 2022 budget includes incentives for electric vehicles, and the Green Technology Financing Scheme (GTFS 3.0) will invest RM2 billion (US$425 million) to support green term loan and project financing. This is a snapshot of Forrester’s data on Malaysian online adults’ interest in green finance offerings.
