Leading firms try to accelerate the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with AI, but some falter by being overexuberant. DevOps platforms are meanwhile becoming dominant in many organizations, with unsafe memory languages falling out of vogue. This is why we expect to see organizations trying to replace their developers with AI, more teams working alongside AI to accelerate the SDLC, Google entering the application generation (AppGen) space, teams abandoning best-of-breed tools for DevOps, and Rust entering the top 10 of the TIOBE Index.
