Realize Practical Application Performance Management

Application performance management (APM) is a natural evolution of infrastructure monitoring. As IT management evolves toward service management and ultimately to business technology, quality of service becomes a business productivity driver. APM adds, through different means and solutions, a performance and data dimension to availability monitoring: It's the realization that a slow business service is no better than no business service. This is amplified with the advent of smart devices, where the lack of responsiveness is a cardinal sin.
