The use of rich internet application (RIA) frameworks such as Ajax, JavaFX, Flex, and Silverlight to provide more interactive and dynamic customer experiences continues to rise. RIA usage has also prompted a number of information and knowledge management (I&KM) professionals who are managing Web content initiatives to question their investments in Web content management (WCM). We interviewed Web teams, WCM vendors, and interactive agency implementation teams to provide answers to some of the more common questions we hear. Specifically, Forrester addresses whether the usage of RIAs will force you to rethink your WCM investments.
