As security and risk (S&R) professionals deliver business apps securely to anywhere-work users, this access is primarily via the simple web browser; a technology over 30 years old that now has renewed importance. However, an increase in attacks against browsers means that browser usage for enterprise apps comes with cyber risks. This report reviews approaches for securing browser usage, including remote browser isolation, managed browsers, local isolation, and threat protection extensions.
