Selecting A Public Cloud Provider In India Is Not Primarily A Matter Of Cost

In India, security and compliance with local laws are top issues determining whether a firm will enter or continue a relationship with a public cloud provider. When Forrester asked cloud decision-makers in India which attribute they most associate with their primary public cloud vendor, 15% indicated that it had the best security and compliance, and 15% that it had the best performance; just 2% said that it had the lowest unit cost. Cloud architects and IT leaders need a complete understanding of the data location and performance SLAs guaranteed by a public cloud vendor before finalizing a cloud migration. This is a snapshot of Forrester’s data on how Indian cloud decision-makers view public cloud vendors.
