Unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) has become a hot topic in technology circles, making it critical for technology vendors to know the market and deliver products that will be bought and used. Separating hyperbole and conjecture from real customers' needs and requirements must guide vendors in deciphering which elements of common knowledge are truths and which are myths. Technology vendors must consider real customer needs today in assembling and selling their UC&C solutions.
