There is pent-up demand for smartphone support. Today, only 11% of US information workers (iWorkers) use a smartphone at work, but nearly three times that many say that they use their own mobile phones for work. The logic is clear: Smartphones and laptops unshackle work from location. And that means that if companies support these devices, they get more time and productivity out of their staff. Teleworkers also give back to their employers: On average, they work 2 hours more per week than office workers.
