Summary
SharePoint adoption continues to grow at a rapid pace. According to Forrester's July 2011 Global SharePoint Usage Online Survey, 57% of organizations surveyed have already deployed SharePoint 2010 a mere 14 months after initial release. Yet in the same survey, 41% responded that deployment took longer than expected. Driving business value from SharePoint as quickly as possible demands a well-developed strategy and broad organizational support. Success requires content and collaboration (C&C) professionals to reach out and work with numerous other IT and business roles within the organization — and likely requires additional new headcount.
