Springboard Research has witnessed strong interest - and uptake - from telco providers in delivering cloud computing services to both enterprise and small to medium-size clients. However, structural issues within the telecommunications industry have the potential to dilute, if not completely negate, any potential benefits. Organizations must, therefore, not only choose their cloud computing telco service providers carefully, but also ensure that contractual arrangements do not place them at significant business risk.
