As leader in global IT outsourcing (ITO), EDS maintains a high level of expertise in end-to-end service management across different IT and telecom infrastructures and actively serves enterprise clients with converged service delivery (CSD) needs. However, unlike some of its key competitors from the telecom arena, EDS currently lacks an integrated CSD offering. Nevertheless, based on its long ITO history, service aggregation skills, and its defined CSD road map, Forrester believes that EDS will become a key player in the CSD space. Still, in order to close an existing portfolio gap, EDS must build closer relationships with one of the global telecom players.
