Summary
In multiple recent announcements and company events across Asia Pacific including Japan (APJ), Symantec outlined its strategy for regional (and ultimately global) growth. Not surprisingly, cloud computing is a clear strategic priority. While this is true of essentially all enterprise software vendors at this point, and given Symantec's portfolio of existing products and solutions, Springboard Research believes that Symantec is potentially very well-positioned to benefit from the ongoing explosion in cloud-centric investments, both inside and outside the data center.
