In their pursuit of fast delivery, many application development and delivery (AD&D) organizations have tried using Agile coaching in concert with new methodologies and tools. The results are often disappointing. New "immersive intervention" approaches go further by taking clients offsite to work on a project with seasoned pros using prescribed tools and processes. These programs produce results that the business can see. This report explores the benefits and risks of this new approach, detailing client experiences with immersive intervention programs from IBM and Pivotal Labs.
