Telecommunications companies (telcos) of all sizes, and in many geographies, are now embracing cloud computing as a new market opportunity. However, not all telcos are as equally committed, or capable, of delivering the full range of cloud services demanded by either enterprise or small to medium-size business (SMB) customers. Organizations must therefore assess their strategic telecommunication vendors' emerging value propositions in terms of both completeness of vision and excellence in execution. Springboard Research believes pure-play cloud providers may still present better value in some cases.
