Good online reviews and generous return policies continue to be key decision factors for approximately two out of five US online adults, according to Forrester’s Media And Marketing Benchmark Recontact Survey, 2022. And one-third of US online adults prefer to buy from brands and stores whose associates are knowledgeable — who can answer questions, find information, and help them decide on the right products for their needs. As they prepare for the end-of-year holiday season, retailers and brands should review and streamline their return policies and processes; they should also prioritize providing store associates with detailed, easily accessible information to help customers.
