Summary
More than two-thirds of security decision-makers in a Forrester survey report that they are currently adopting passwordless authentication for the workforce. Adoption is still at a very early stage, however; about half of respondents are less than three months into their deployment, suggesting it’s mostly POCs and pilot programs being deployed. IDaaS platform vendors and authentication specialists are competing, helping enterprises overcome technical and nontechnical challenges. Survey respondents expect the percent of employees using passwordless to nearly double by the end of 2022.
