Technology executives with data and insights responsibilities should reevaluate how their teams communicate. The last couple of years have seen major shifts in the working environment and subsequent advancements to digital communication and collaboration platforms. Yet, tech execs leading insights initiatives often neglect how their teams communicate to gain user adoption and fall short despite efforts to boost data literacy and data storytelling skills. In this report we introduce data communications (DataComs) as a way to plug the gap between data storytelling and data literacy.
