Corporate funding for digital health technologies hit a record $21.6 billion in 2020. Despite the jaw-dropping total, Forrester Analytics’ Consumer Technographics® data shows that the majority of US online adults don’t use apps to manage their health. To foster long-term, sustained user engagement, HCOs must create simple experiences that resonate during a consumer’s moment of need and deliver immediate value or utility. For example, consumers are interested in learning about the details of their plans and completing discrete tasks. This report provides a snapshot of Forrester's data on consumer use of digital health apps.
