Summary

Forrester evaluated EMEA service providers on their SOA integration capabilities. We performed a similar evaluation of service providers in North America and ultimately found little difference in capabilities and approach between the two regions — with market presence being the only significant variation. While enterprises are increasingly hearing that service-oriented architecture (SOA) will provide flexibility to meet ever-changing market demands and business requirements, clients will not gain the full business benefits of SOA they hope to achieve until they understand the value of SOA. By hiring consultants to assist, clients will get exposed to the latest thought leadership and innovation within the SOA landscape. To help EMEA-based clients understand the state of the SOA integration market, Forrester evaluated leading consulting and system integration firms across 40 criteria to understand how these firms are approaching the service-oriented architecture landscape, judging service capabilities, client experiences, investments in SOA, and delivery resource training. Included in this report is an interactive provider comparison tool that provides detailed evaluations and customizable rankings.
