Summary

Businesses large and small are continuing to invest in a range of collaboration technologies. While vendors promise that these technologies can solve a range of business problems, most content and collaboration (C&C) professionals tell us that collaboration tools mainly save them money on travel. This, of course, misses the promise of these technologies to accelerate business processes. There is a link between collaboration software and business processes like project management and product development. To realize benefits of collaborative business processes, though, C&C pros must work to integrate these tools into business processes like product development and workflows.
