As websites deliver increasing personalization, servers have struggled to keep up. Traditional dynamic web architectures are inherently inefficient because they must build HTML for every user on the fly. A modification of the architecture allows some web assets to be served by Jamstack technologies — a combination of JavaScript, web APIs, and markup delivered by content delivery networks (CDNs) without a dedicated web server at all. This improves robustness and decreases latency while reducing costs. Read this report to learn how a Jamstack architecture differs from a traditional web server architecture.
