The hyperscale public cloud platform providers have steadily improved service reliability, performance, and security to the point where their service levels exceed those of most enterprise data centers. But cloud skeptics and some cloud providers still claim that hyperscale public clouds can't satisfy the complex requirements of enterprises and their critical business applications. This report helps infrastructure and operations (I&O) professionals understand what makes a cloud "enterprise-class" and how the hyperscale cloud providers indeed merit the label.
