The concept of trusted digital identity is simple: It’s the high degree of confidence that an organization, person, device, and machine are who or what they represent themselves to be. While the definition is simple, creating trusted digital identities is not. The key building blocks of trust for digital identities include verified identities, mutual authentication processes and tools (including digital signatures), blockchain-based decentralized identities (DIDs), and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
