In 2010, US and Canadian insurers got a bounce back in their step. While the North American insurance industry may still not be dancing with joy, the outlook for the year ahead is a lot brighter than a year ago. What should eBusiness and channel executives be thinking about for the new year? Responding to changing business drivers and customer expectations, executives will focus on: the needs of agents and policyholders; the convergence of platforms that will both simplify and complicate engagement models; collaborating, not competing, with agents; and a keen sense of the need for agility as experiences from other industries change consumer expectations for insurance.
