In our annual organizational and staffing survey of eBusiness and channel strategy professionals, we found that while eBusiness budgets and team sizes are growing, finding the skills and capabilities to execute on a digital strategy is becoming harder and harder. Staffing is most painful for the roles of technology, customer experience, and business analytics — all critical functions for driving digital transformation in the age of the customer. In this report, we outline average eBusiness team sizes and segment that analysis by overall company revenue, overall company employee count, and online revenue. We also discuss the functional areas in which eBusiness professionals are most understaffed and those they find hardest to hire for.
