Indonesian Consumers’ Interest In Green Finance Is The Highest In Southeast Asia

According to Forrester’s Asia Pacific Financial Services Survey, 2022, 60% of Indonesian online adults are interested in green funds. The Indonesian retail investor segment has grown rapidly over the past three years, from 2.5 million in 2019 to more than 9 million in 2022. Millennials are most interested in green funds, as they believe that green investments will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment. This is even more on Indonesians’ minds since the floods in northern Demak, one of the worst instances of coastal erosion across the archipelago but far from the only one. This is a snapshot of Forrester’s data on Indonesian online adults’ interest in green finance offerings.
