The creation and sharing of user-generated videos has exploded — the YouTube phenomenon is the obvious validation of this. Consumers are now bringing their video sharing habits with them to work, evidenced by employees posting company-confidential videos on sites like YouTube. Recently, several products have emerged that help organizations leverage the use of employee-generated videos in a secure environment. The use of employee-generated videos won't go away, and HR should leverage this new media to support functions like learning/training, onboarding, and recruitment.
