In difficult economic times, enterprise architecture (EA) groups must often switch from a strategic focus to more tactical issues and cost management. Nevertheless, EA groups should maintain some capability to steer toward the future-state vision. A strong link to the procurement function is one of the paths to remaining strategic and keeping EA governance running in times of cost management.
