Cloud workspaces are a viable alternative to on-premises remote desktop session-hosted (RDSH) and server-hosted virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) for providing employees with flexible access to managed, secure remote desktop and application environments. But there are five different categories of vendors — each with advantages and constraints that aren't obvious unless you understand how the cloud workspace ecosystem works.
