Hydrasight notes renewed and rising interest in room-based video conferencing technologies among organisations in Asia Pacific (and elsewhere). However, we believe organisations must realise that traditional in-room videoconferencing systems do not address or facilitate changing work styles / user preferences for collaboration and communication. Moreover, we believe that room-based video conferencing should be integrated with other peer-to-peer video conferencing tools to avoid creating barriers in communication between "facilities-based" meetings and ad-hoc desktop/mobile conferencing.
